Omyst™ was created by a Family Nurse Practitioner who became distressed with the alarmingly high rate of infections associated with simple cuts, burns and insect bites she encount ered working in New York Emergency Rooms. The leading topical medicine is an ointment that is often messy and mis-applied and does not allow air to penetrate a wound. This not only delays healing but actually becomes a breeding ground for bacteria.
Due to her extensive experience as a Nurse Practitioner and herbalist she set out to start a company that would honor health by developing safe and effective plant based medicine. Omyst™ is her first product with several other organic medicines in the later stages of development.
